Step-by-Step IUI Process:

Initial Consultation and Fertility Assessment

Your IVF journey begins with an initial consultation with our experienced fertility specialists. We will conduct a thorough fertility assessment, including reviewing your medical history and performing diagnostic tests to identify any underlying causes of infertility. Based on these results, we will develop a personalized IVF treatment plan that addresses your specific needs.

Ovarian Stimulation

In preparation for IVF, you will undergo ovarian stimulation. This involves using fertility medications to stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple mature eggs instead of the usual single egg that is released during a natural menstrual cycle. Regular monitoring through ultrasounds and hormone level assessments will be conducted to track follicle development.

Egg Retrieval

Once the follicles have reached the appropriate size, a minor surgical procedure known as egg retrieval is performed under sedation. Using ultrasound guidance, a thin needle is inserted through the vaginal wall to retrieve the mature eggs from the follicles. This procedure is usually painless and minimally invasive.

Sperm Collection

On the same day as the egg retrieval, a fresh semen sample is collected from your partner or a sperm donor. Alternatively, for cases requiring intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), a single sperm is injected directly into each mature egg. The collected eggs and sperm are then incubated in a controlled environment to allow fertilization to occur.

Embryo Development and Culture

The fertilized eggs, now called embryos, are carefully monitored in our state-of-the-art laboratory. Our skilled embryologists create the optimal conditions for embryo development, mimicking the natural environment of the uterus. The embryos are cultured for several days, typically between three to five days, before transfer.

Embryo Transfer

The final stage of the IVF process is the embryo transfer. Using a thin catheter, the selected and developed embryos are gently transferred into the uterus. This procedure is usually painless and does not require anesthesia. The number of embryos transferred is based on various factors, including your age, embryo quality, and your preferences.

Post-Transfer Care and Pregnancy Test

Following the embryo transfer, you will rest for a short period before being able to resume normal activities. Our team will provide you with post-transfer care instructions to optimize implantation and pregnancy success. Approximately two weeks after the transfer, a pregnancy test will be conducted to determine if the treatment was successful.
